Dr. Eun K. Um, President
Dr. Eun K. Um, founder and President of Statistical Consulting Group, is a statistician, with a Master’s from
Stanford
University and a Doctorate degree in Statistics from
Columbia
University. She served as Data Manger at Brigham and Women's Hospital, Harvard Medical School. She served as university professor. She taught graduate courses in both research design and statistics while conducting research in applied statistics. She is primarily known for her contributions to the practice of multilevel modeling, survival analysis, and individual growth modeling; and to making these and other statistical methods accessible to empirical researchers. Dr. Um’s wide-ranging interests have led her to publish across a broad array of disciplines, including statistics, psychology, and medicine/public health. In addition to writing papers and book chapters, she has written books, including Motivation and Mathematics Performance: A Structural Equation Analysis. She has conducted survey work for a range of agencies and departments.
